Google looks at how you structure your content when ranking your website. A piece of this is your blog. If you want to be the authority in your area, this can help create a content funnel.
Main Topic -> Sub Topic > Micro Topic…etc.
The further out you go, the more granular you can get.
This helps to build your authority. So, instead of writing an entire novel in ONE post that explains EVERYTHING about that topic, break it up into an organized framework that radiates out and gets more specific and focused as you go out.
Begin by identifying your primary theme or topic. Write a master blog about that. The length is less important, it is more about have a base piece of content that is all encompassing. All of the supporting articles or posts will be pointing towards this pillar content. Like the center of a wheel, think of each spoke as a different supporting article that together make up the entire wheel.
Google loves it when you structure your blogs like. This is because it helps demonstrate your authority on your expertise. Also, most likely there is more depth to a topic than one article can cover, so having supporting articles can fill in the gaps and make consuming your content more bite-sized. Also, if site visitors are navigating through multiple pages and spending time reading through your content, this is another thing that Google loves to see.
